The Poco F8 Ultra in two colors and two memory configurations was released on November 26, 2025. Now I want to review all its specifications and performance with you to see if it’s worth buying.
Design
Physical Specs and Build Quality

First Look? This thing feels premium. The back has this lovely textured finish, and the build quality is immediately apparent. It measures 163.33mm long and 77.82mm wide, making it a substantial phone.

The best part, though, is the peace of mind you get with the flagship IP68 rating for dust and water resistance; no need to stress about a little dust or water anymore.
Available Colors and Protection

You can get the Poco F8 Ultra in two colors: Black and Denim Blue. The Black is sleek at just 7.9mm thick and weighs 218g. If you go for the Denim Blue, it’s a tiny bit chunkier at 8.3mm and 220g. Either way, the display is protected by Poco’s own tough Poco Shield Glass.

Also know ‘Denim Blue’ refers solely to the color and texture of the product’s surface. Rest assured, no actual denim fabric is used in this smartphone.
Performance
Qualcomm’s Flagship Elite Chipset

So, what’s actually powering the Poco F8 Ultra? They crammed the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in here, built on an incredibly efficient 3nm process. The CPU is a 3rd gen Qualcomm Oryon with this wild Octa-core 2+6 All-Big-Core design. Poco promises it’s 20% faster and 35% more power-efficient. I’m hyped to see those cores hit 4.6GHz!
Graphics and Benchmarks

The new Adreno 840 GPU is handling the visuals, and they claim a 23% performance boost and a 20% power reduction under heavy load. The sheer power is confirmed by an AnTuTu V11 score of 3,944,934 which is just insane. Plus, the AI side of things, the NPU, is 37% better for all the smart features.
Memory and Storage

You’re not going to run out of speed here. It uses lightning-fast LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage. You can grab the Poco F8 Ultra in configurations going all the way up to a massive 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
Thermal Management

All that power needs serious cooling, and Poco delivered. It uses a sophisticated 6700 sq mm 3D dual-channel, dual-layer IceLoop system. This LiquidCool structure actively targets the two main heat sources, the SoC and the camera module, keeping things snappy even during intense gaming sessions.
Gaming Optimization

If you’re a serious gamer, you’ll love the dedicated VisionBoost D8 chipset with GEX module for advanced visuals and Game HDR.

They also included WildBoost Optimisation to proactively prevent frame drops, which keeps you at high frame rates. That means smooth gameplay.
Battery
Capacity and Endurance

With the Poco F8 Ultra, the battery is absolutely where Poco really stepped up its game. They threw in the largest one yet for the F series: a huge 6500mAh silicon-carbon dual-cell battery, which has a higher capacity than the Poco F8 Pro. I mean, 15 hours of continuous use? That is seriously flagship-grade endurance.
Charging Speeds and Technology

When it does finally run out, you’re not waiting long. You get ultra-fast 100W wired HyperCharge, which Poco says hits 100% in just 38 minutes. You also get speedy 50W wireless HyperCharge, and you can even juice up your other gadgets with 22.5W wired reverse charging.
Longevity and Standards

Poco is guaranteeing long-term battery health, which is reassuring. They state the capacity will hold 80% or more after 1600 charge cycles. That’s excellent durability and longevity built in.
Camera

Triple Rear Sensor Configuration
Okay, let’s talk about the Poco F8 Ultra camera. They gave us a professional-grade setup with three 50MP sensors. It’s an incredible amount of resolution across the board.
Main Camera Details

The main shooter is a 50MP Light Fusion 950 image sensor (1/1.31″ size) with a wide f/1.67 aperture. Crucially, it has OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and offers a huge 13.5EV high dynamic range with 43% better light sensitivity.
Zoom and Ultra-Wide Lenses

The 50MP periscope telephoto camera is definitely a highlight. It gives you clean 5x optical zoom and is OIS-equipped. You can push it to 10x lossless zoom and even 20x zoom. The third lens is a superb 50MP ultra-wide camera for those sweeping landscape shots.
Video Capabilities and Front Camera

If you’re into video, you can record up to a crisp 8K at 30fps and capture stunning slow-motion up to 1920fps at 720p. The 32MP front camera is excellent too, and it even has a smart 0.8x ultra-wide mode for group selfies, recording 4K video at 30fps.
Display
Size, Resolution and Brightness

We’re looking at a huge 6.9-inch eye-care AMOLED display with a high resolution of 2608 x 1200 pixels. This is the global debut of the M10 display panel, and Poco says it offers 11.4% improved luminous efficiency. It uses the POCO HyperRGB full RGB subpixel structure for super clear visuals.

The Poco F8 Ultra’s display hits a peak of 3500 nits in sunlight, which means outdoor readability is fantastic, and it can go all the way down to a comfortable 1 nit for late-night scrolling.
Refresh Rate and Touch Response

The smoothness is guaranteed with the 120Hz refresh rate. If you are a gamer, you should know that the standard 480Hz touch sampling rate can be increased to an instant 2560Hz touch sampling rate by activating Game Turbo mode.
Eye Care and UltraSlim Bezels

Poco paid attention to comfort. It uses All-day DC dimming and has a bunch of eye-friendly certifications.

The screen-to-body ratio is stunning at 94.25%, thanks to the ultraslim 1.68mm bezels.
Audio and Security

The audio is co-tuned by Bose, which is exciting. It features a sophisticated 2.1-channel audio system with symmetrical stereo speakers and an independent subwoofer. It supports Dolby Atmos and has Hi-Res certification.

For security, the next-gen Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor is 83% faster for enrollment and can even handle wet hand unlocking.
Connectivity
Network and Signal Enhancement

Connectivity is boosted by Xiaomi Astral Communication, which employs the Xiaomi Surge T1S + T1+ dual-chip signal enhancement, resulting in up to a 42% cellular performance improvement.
Wireless Standards and Unique Features

For wireless tech, we’re future-proofed with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6. Of course, you get NFC and flexible dual SIM options (Nano SIM + Nano SIM or Nano SIM + eSIM, eSIM + eSIM).

The coolest thing is the Xiaomi offline communication capability, which lets you make voice calls over a kilometer without a network connection. That’s wild.
Software and Features
Operating System and AI

The Poco F8 Ultra comes with HyperOS 3 operating system based on Android 16 and is heavily integrated with AI, which Poco calls its AI Ecosystem. It’s packed with Google Gemini tools like overlay, live talk, image generation, and connected apps.

Plus, you get handy AI features like AI Interpreter, AI dynamic wallpapers, and the brilliant Circle to Search function.
