First Look Reviews is my personal blog dedicated to providing smartphone reviews. I do not sell any products or services directly on my website.

  • A. Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site, I collect the data shown in the comments form (Name, Email address, and Comment text), and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Your email address will not be published or shared.
  • B. Contact Forms: If you contact me via my Contact Me page (https://firstlookreviews.com/contact-me/), I collect your Name, Email address, Subject, and the Message you send. I use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and do not use it for marketing purposes.
  • C. Automatically Collected Information (Analytics & Caching): I use Google Analytics to understand how visitors engage with my website. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the time spent on the site. This data is anonymized and used to improve my content and user experience. I also use LiteSpeed Cache to optimize website performance. This caching tool may temporarily store data to load pages faster for returning visitors, but it does not collect identifiable personal data.

2. Cookies and Web Beacons

First Look Reviews uses cookies to store information about visitors’ preferences, to record user-specific information on which pages the site visitor accesses or visits, and to personalize or customize my web page content based upon visitors’ browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

I use Google AdSense to display advertisements on my website.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to my website or other websites.

I use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
  • Contact Form Inquiries: Emails and messages sent via my contact form are kept for customer service purposes to help resolve your inquiries, but they are never used for marketing purposes.
  • Analytics Data: Any non-personally identifiable data collected via Google Analytics is automatically deleted after 14 months.

7. Links to Other Websites

My website contains smartphone reviews and may contain links to other websites. Once you use these links to leave my site, please note that I do not have any control over those other websites. Therefore, I cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information you provide whilst visiting such sites.

8. Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of young children is especially important. For that reason, First Look Reviews does not knowingly collect or maintain personally identifiable information from persons under 13 years of age. If I learn that personal information of persons under 13 has been collected, I will take the necessary steps to delete this information as soon as possible.

If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data I hold about you, including any data you have provided to me. You can also request that I erase any personal data I hold about you. This does not include any data I am obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
