Choosing the Galaxy Z Flip 7 color is super important because you’ll be looking at it in your hand every single day, so you really have to love it.

Samsung’s given us four options: Mint, Coral Red, Blue Shadow, and Jet Black. If you’re stuck between these options and keep endlessly scrolling through photos to make a decision, you don’t need to look any further. I’ll tell you what vibe each color gives off and which one you should actually buy in the end.
Mint

The cool thing about this Mint on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is that it’s not too loud. I mean, if you’re the kind of person who doesn’t vibe with super bright phones, this one probably won’t bother you. It’s a bit unique, but it doesn’t try too hard to be the center of attention. It’s “politely unique” in a way!
It’s one of those colors that just begs you to slap a clear case on it, hold it in your hand, and go to a fancy cafe to take a bunch of mirror selfies. It just gives off this really cool and clean vibe.
And another thing, even though this Mint is super cute, it does give off a tiny bit of a toy vibe. Like, when you put it on the table, it doesn’t exactly scream the prestige and class of an expensive phone. As for the phone itself, well, a Flip is a Flip! Even though it’s the 7th generation, that folding crease in the middle of the screen is still sitting there like the equator, and it really gets on your nerves when you scroll. The side frame does match the back panel, though, which makes the whole phone look really seamless.

On the flip side, there is a catch. Since it’s a light color, if you’re super picky, it’ll probably show scratches or dirt a lot faster. Like, the moment you slide the phone into your jeans pocket and later spot a tiny smudge on it, you’ll probably tell yourself, “Well, now it’s obvious why cases were invented!”
I think this color is really youthful. If you’re a 45-year-old guy looking for a more formal phone, this might be a bit too cheerful for you. But if you’re into different and catchy tones, this Galaxy Z Flip 7 Mint is genuinely a great choice. Personally, I’m so fond of green that I’d still pick this vibrant option even at 70.
If I want to sum it up like a friend, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Mint is mostly for someone who wants a different phone but doesn’t want to scream to the whole room, “Hey, look at this unique color I got!” It’s a calm and cool choice, kind of like a cold glass of water in the middle of summer. You just have to hope you don’t drop it!
Coral Red

The Coral Red is like Samsung saying: “Alright, we get it. You want the phone to be seen? Here you go!” You really can’t pretend to be a shy person with this color. The second you pull it out of your pocket, half the room will turn around to see what’s in your hand.
Look, this color is honestly super loud and energetic. If you’re the type of person whose wardrobe looks like a box of crayons and you love eye-catching items, well, you might just love the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Coral Red. But imagine sitting in a serious, formal meeting or riding the subway, and you suddenly pull this out of your pocket; everyone’s gonna think you took out a pocket mirror to touch up your lipstick!
The frame is also Coral Red, which perfectly matches the body. You’ve got a seamless and gorgeous look.

One thing that really ruins the vibe with this color is the thick black bezels around the inner display. In the Mint model, because the body was lighter, it might’ve been less noticeable. But here, the combination of this loud pink/red with that black band around the screen creates a really harsh contrast; it’s like the phone is wearing thick, messy eyeliner!
Plus, those two camera lenses on the back pop out on this coral background just like two huge moles on a face. Long story short, this color doesn’t have a middle ground; you’ll either fall in love with it at first sight, or you’ll absolutely hate it. If you’re looking for a phone that goes with every outfit, this color is officially a headache because you’ll have to search your closet every day to figure out what to wear to match your phone!
This Coral Red looks way bolder than the Mint one. It means whoever chooses this color is probably a risk-taker who loves being different.
If your workplace is formal or you have to leave your phone on the table during business meetings, this color might seem way too playful and casual. But if you don’t care and want your phone to have some personality, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Coral Red is an awesome choice.
Blue Shadow

Oh, this one is for the classier folks! 😎 After those Mint and Coral Red, it seems Samsung remembered that some people actually like their phones to not be super flashy!

This Blue Shadow on the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is a really chic and classy navy blue. It’s elegant and mature, and it doesn’t scream for attention like the previous ones. It totally gives the phone a vibe of power and seriousness. It’s one of those colors that when you take it out of your pocket, people just know they’re looking at a pricey phone. It goes great with a suit, and it looks awesome with casual wear too.

Blue Shadow is one of those colors that even a few years down the line, you probably won’t look at it and say “why did I buy this color back then?”. I think it’s the most logical and universally appealing option among the three I’ve seen. It doesn’t yell “I’m here!” like the Coral Red, and it isn’t super soft and cool like the Mint. It’s right in the middle; it has character but doesn’t draw too much attention to itself.

If you aren’t really a risk-taker and want a foldable phone that’s stylish and elegant, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Blue Shadow is definitely the best choice. Well, now let’s move on to the last one standing: Jet Black!
Jet Black

This one is for those who don’t want to take any risks! It looks like a secret agent’s phone from an action movie. The Jet Black is exactly that classic choice half the people go for without overthinking it. It’s the good old rule: when in doubt, get black! And honestly, it usually works out.
Look, the biggest win with this color is how it hides the bezels around the screen and that black outer glass. In the previous options, especially that Coral Red, those bezels were a real eyesore, but here, since the whole structure is solid black, everything is camouflaged and doesn’t get on your nerves at all. Those two camera lenses don’t stick out like two bug eyes anymore either and blend right in with the body. It’s seamless, dark, and badass.

Usually, you buy a foldable phone to be a bit different and stand out, right? This Jet Black is so neutral and low-key that if you leave it folded on a cafe table, from a distance it looks like a small power bank or a makeup compact, and nobody will even realize your phone is a Flip! It’s honestly a bit too conservative. The frame is black too, which matches the body perfectly. Overall, you get a really minimal and simple look.

If you’re the type of person who wants their phone to be invisible and just get the job done, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Jet Black is perfect. But if you want your phone to have some personality and scream “look at my foldable!”, this isn’t a good choice. I think Blue Shadow was way better than this because it was dark but still had a hint of color.
