Google Pixel 10 Pro: My First Look Review

Google Pixel 10 Pro: My First Look Review

I was watching a video on YouTube when I saw an ad for the Google Pixel 10 Pro. At first look, its design and color didn’t really appeal to me. But because this was a new phone from Google’s Pixel series, I was curious enough to go to the official website and see more photos and full specs. I thought maybe my mind would change.

With a simple Google search, I found the official Pixel 10 Pro page. The first things I saw were the price for both the Pro and Pro XL models, and all the available colors.

My Reaction to the Features

As I scrolled down the page, I got to the new features of the Pixel 10 Pro, which were introduced with short videos. I was truly taken aback by the video showing the 100x zoom capability. My first thought was, “Wow! 100x zoom! That’s amazing!” At the same time, I had a little doubt in my mind about how useful this zoom would be in reality, but based on the website, it seems like a great feature.

I also saw video that showed the ability to talk to Gemini about anything you see using your camera in Gemini Live. This feature seems really revolutionary at first look; it seemed to be a truly personal AI assistant in your pocket.

My Impression of the Camera and Build

When I got to the camera section, the first thing that grabbed my attention was the emphasis on its professional quality. The 50MP main camera seems designed to make everything look cinematic by default. Also, the 42MP front camera with its wide field of view gave me the impression that you could take high-quality group selfies with all your friends.

Seeing the specs for the body, which mentioned “Spacecraft-grade aluminum” and “Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2,” gave me peace of mind. From the description, it appears to be a phone that can handle accidental drops.

Looking at the Super Actua display with its 3300 nits of peak brightness, it seemed to be the brightest screen out there. My first thought was that viewing content, even in direct sunlight, would be no problem at all.

How Big Is It?

The website also had a cool interactive feature that let me see the size of the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL in two states: on a desk and in a hand. This was a great visual tool and gave me a sense of how big the phone actually is.

A chip that looks powerful

The website had a lot of information about the new Google Tensor G5 chip. When I saw the numbers “60% more powerful TPU” and “34% faster CPU”, I got the sense that this phone is going to be incredibly fast and smooth. From the first look, it was clear that Google has focused a lot on improving its AI and overall performance.

My Take on Battery and Security

The battery information, which claimed it could last up to 100 hours in Extreme Battery Saver mode, meant one thing to me: freedom from charger anxiety.

The phone can charge up to 70% in just 30 minutes, which seems incredibly fast and definitely reduces worries about running out of battery. This feature gives me the impression that this phone is designed for a fast-paced lifestyle.

The security and emergency features like “Scam Detection” and “Theft Detection Lock,” and the Satellite SOS, gave me a sense of security just from reading about them. These features show that Google, from a buyer’s perspective, is focused on user protection as much as performance.

A World of Magnetic Accessories

The official site displayed a range of accessories that can be used with the new magnetic Pixelsnap technology. At a glance, this system seems to offer a lot of convenience for using wireless chargers, stands, and other magnetic accessories. It seems like Google is trying to build a full ecosystem around the Pixel.

My First Look Conclusion on the Pixel 10 Pro

Overall, I have to say that the design of the Pixel 10 Pro didn’t really grab my attention at first look. But based on the features I read about, especially the AI, camera, and security, it appears to be a serious competitor to other flagship smartphones. I didn’t forget to say that out of all the available colors, I really liked the Jade color of the Pixel 10 Pro.
