I’ve had a look at the Redmi Note 15 specs, and while it definitely packs a bigger battery and a more expansive screen into a lighter body than the Note 14, let’s be real: it’s not exactly an ‘all-rounder’ flagship.
If you’re after a massive display and long-lasting endurance, you’re in the right place. But if camera quality and gaming performance are your deal-breakers, this review might make you think twice.
Design
How it feels in the hand
First thing you’ll notice is just how slim it is. Even with a massive battery inside, it’s incredibly thin at just 7.35mm (though the White version is a tiny bit thicker at 7.4mm) and weighs only 178g.
It’s got those curved edges that give it a really premium feel, though that’s a matter of taste because some people hate curved screens due to accidental touches.

But can it actually survive a drop?
Xiaomi’s been talking a lot about ‘King Kong reliability’. Basically, they’ve toughened up the glass and given it an IP66 rating. It’s not fully waterproof (don’t go swimming with it), but it’ll handle heavy rain or spills just fine. It feels solid, like you don’t have to baby it as much as other budget phones.

The Redmi Note 15 packs a 6.77-inch AMOLED screen with a 2392×1080 resolution. It’s got a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and gets very bright. I’m talking 3200 nits peak brightness! You won’t have any trouble reading stuff even under direct sunlight. Plus, they’ve added this ‘Wet Touch’ feature, which is a total lifesaver if your hands are sweaty or you’ve just washed them.
Sound Quality
This phone has dual speakers and a 300% volume mode, so it gets super loud. It’s fine for YouTube or scrolling TikTok, but do not expect audiophile bass. It’s basically just a decent, loud stereo setup.

Chipset and Processing
The core of the Redmi Note 15 is the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. Let’s be real: it’s no gaming beast. It handles everyday apps like Instagram, WhatsApp, and browsing without a hitch, but if you’re a hardcore Genshin Impact player, you might want to look elsewhere.
Camera Performance
The 50MP main sensor is solid for daytime shots. It’s sharp, and the AI does a decent job with the colors. But honestly, the second lens is just a 2MP depth sensor that’s basically only there to look good on the spec sheet. As for the 8MP selfie cam? It’s fine for video calls, but nothing to write home about. It’s definitely a social media camera, not a pro one.

You can get the Redmi Note 15 with up to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 2.2 storage. If you’re the type who likes keeping a ton of apps open at once, the 12GB version is definitely the way to go.

One thing I love about this phone is the battery. The Redmi Note 15 packs a 5800mAh cell, and Xiaomi says it’ll maintain over 80% health even after 5 years of use.
Charging Speeds
It supports 45W charging. It’s not the fastest in the world, as some phones do 120W now, but it’s fast enough to top you up in a reasonable time. The reverse charging is a cool trick because you can use your phone like a power bank to charge your friend’s dying phone or your earbuds via a cable.
There is even a ‘Zero-power Instant Start’ that lets the phone boot to the logo in just 3 seconds when plugged in at 0%.

The Redmi Note 15 runs on HyperOS 2 based on Android 15.
SIM and Comms
This phone is fully loaded when it comes to connections. It has a hybrid dual 5G slot, meaning you can use two nano-SIM cards at once or swap one for a Micro SD. It uses Bluetooth 5.1 for your gadgets and has NFC as well.
