The Poco C81 Pro colors are a story of their own! Especially when we’re about to buy a smartphone where budget is everything, but the designers suddenly decide to play with the colors and reveal something special. The Poco C81 Pro is no exception and comes in three colors that are each somehow made for a specific group of people: a loud and busy green, a classy and quiet gold, and a timeless classic black.
When you hold the phone, the color is the first thing that catches your eye, and you might even talk about it more than its processor! Now I want to talk about each of these colors very casually and frankly, from that giant logo on the green one to the eye-catching gold rings on the black one. So if you’re stuck between green, gold, and black and don’t know which one is going to be the constant companion of your pocket or bag, read on until the end!
Green

Alright, let’s start with the Poco C81 Pro’s green color, which is the most unique color in this series. First of all, let’s be honest, the designer seemed really worried that we’d forget what brand we bought! On the back, POCO is written in a giant, billboard-sized font. It’s like if you hold the phone in your hand, it shouts from across the street, “Hey people! I am a Poco!” There really was no need for all this emphasis; we get it, it’s a Poco!
The gold rings around its camera lenses are cute too, as if it tried to give a slight feeling of luxury. Overall, the base color itself is pretty and has a calm vibe, but that busy design on the right side is totally a matter of personal taste. You either look at it and say “How cool and different”, or you say “Honestly, what on earth is this?”.
The gold or champagne frame around it matches this green color really well, creating an interesting contrast. It’s a fresh option for people who are tired of black and dark blue colors.
The body is matte, which means you don’t need to attack the fingerprint smudges with the corner of your t-shirt every half hour. It’s a blessing for people whose hands are always sweaty or greasy!

If you’re looking to grab attention and like your phone to have a different and cheerful color, this green is great. But if you’re one of those people who has a problem with giant lettering on clothes or phones, this giant logo on the back will probably get on your nerves after two days!
Gold

Look, this one has a totally different vibe from the previous green. If that mint green was like a cheerful Hawaiian t-shirt, this gold is more like a well-tailored and classy linen suit.
The first thing that catches your eye is that, thank God, that dear Poco designer finally took a chill pill when it comes to writing the brand name in a billboard font! Here, the POCO logo sits very small and formal in the bottom corner. Kudos to them, it really looks much more elegant this way and you no longer have to prove to everyone what brand your phone is.
The color isn’t one of those tacky and super yellow golds that makes it look like they dipped the phone in liquid gold. It’s more of a matte sandy or champagne gold. The back panel just has a vertical cut that separates two mild and matte color tones and gives it personality. In all fairness, it’s designed in a way that if someone sees it from afar, they’ll think you paid a lot of money for it, even though we know the real deal!

If you want a minimal phone whose appearance doesn’t scream “I’m a budget phone!”, this Poco C81 Pro gold color is a very safe and logical choice. It’s like Poco tried to pull off a “quiet luxury” look with this color. Fingerprints also don’t show up at all on this color and you don’t need to constantly have a cleaning cloth in hand.
Black

And now we reach the timeless classic! The black color has always been and still is a popular option, but let’s see how this one is.
Look, this color is made exactly for those who don’t feel like thinking about what clothes to wear in the mornings and go straight for the first black t-shirt within reach. This phone has the exact same vibe. It has no pretensions and doesn’t want to shout that it’s special.
Fortunately, just like the gold color, the designers let go of that busy letter pattern on the green color and kept the same chic vertical line that divides the back panel into two dark tones. The Poco logo sits very modestly in the bottom corner and doesn’t bother anyone.
The body is also matte, and this means for the most part, you won’t see fingerprint smudges on it unless you go at it directly with pizza hands, and well, no engineer can do anything about that.

Do you see those gold rings around the camera? They are practically screaming against this dark background! It’s as if the phone is wearing a black turtleneck with a shiny gold necklace over it just to say “Look how luxurious I am!” The combination of black and gold has always been attractive, but here the contrast is really in your face and might be very appealing to some and way too much for others.
If you’re the type who doesn’t change phones every year and likes your phone to always look clean and classy, black is the winner. It doesn’t go out of style, it matches any case and cover, and most importantly, no one thinks you’re holding a toy!
